Osteoarthritis

Bimla Kumari, a retired employee of health department of Panjab, aged about 69 yrs had very difficult time for the last  8-9 years. She suffered from radiculopathy of lumbo sacral spine and cervical spine. She was getting disabling pain in the lower limbs and back of chest and arms. She never had adequate sleep and unabated pain would  make her changing sides difficult and even new side would turn out to be agonizing and no position was comfortable. She would  keep  crying at  night and no medicine had  given the minimum comfort. As the  expert doctors told  her beyond physiotherapy, pain killers and anti inflammatory drugs there is no cure for her anywhere in the world.
The transformation came so quickly it is difficult to  expect from any medicine available so far. After having been relieved of her constant agony for more than 2 years, she says," I have a minor problem now. I am so confident that anybody with any problem can get well quickly. And I have seen my sister in law get well for her incurable thyroid problem and even in Mumbai my relations are relieved from their diseases." Her life is changed. Some other cases

1. A lady working in paramilitary force suffered from this disease at relatively younger age and in the worst form. She was surprised to get the relief so quickly in one day only. 2. A village woman of 90 years suffered from severe osteoarthritis knee joints for 30 years. Severe Cervical Spondylitis

This retired army officer had served in Army Medical Corps and had the advantage of obtaining immediate and better treatment available for him. He had consulted the Surgical Consultant in CH Calcutta for his severe disability of his severe pain in the neck and shoulders and his movements of left shoulder joint were restricted. The consultant had told him frankly that he would have to bear with that for life as nothing could be done for him. And it was a fact that any body viewing  his X ray Cervical spine report would say same thing even now. Luckily he carried the X ray report with him and we have posted that in the medical reports. It made out that, he had severe extensive cervical spondylitis, as his four cervical vertebrae were fused with each other and the intevening spaces were obliterated.

 He is the founder member of the mission at Ludhiana and with the service in the mission he had many rewards and one of the rewards was  his complete and permanent recovery from this incurable disease. A 51 yr old lady has a woeful story to relate, she did not have a peaceful life at all and till early this year. She suffered from joint pains from the last 26 years and this problem was worsening by each passing day.She had approached every good physician from all the different systems of healings.Nothing could give her the least relief.With steroids she had some relief .but more than the relief, a few drug induced problems were added. Her weight increased,BP shot up and dibetes mellitus was added. In addition, she developed dryness of eyes and mouth which resulted into the irritation of eyes and difficulty in swallowing anything and she would require sips of water to push the things down her throat.She had to take sleeping pill to have some rest.

A young married man was crippled with the disease. The disease had started from the small joints of the hands and had progressed rapidly to involve the hip joints. The hip joints were damaged and needed replacement. His replacement would not have arrested the disease and the disease is known to be progressive. Mrs.Manjit Kaur Aandloo suffered from painful and deformed knee joints from the last 10 years. Initially, the pain involved the right knee only, then over the time it spread into both the knees. She had severe pain in both the knees, all the time. And it was not associated with walking, sitting or any type of exertion.
She had to take three tablets three times a day to have some sort of relief. And with the pain round the clock, she was unable to sleep. The life was nearly hell. She had consulted the three top noted orthopedic surgeons of Ludhiana and all had one way to relieve her of her problems and that was knee replacement surgery for both the knees. Long standing severe Osteoarthritis Lumbo-Sacral Spine and Cervical Spine cured in 10 days

 The lady suffered from pain in the back for quite some time till Feb, 2009 when suddenly the pain got to the worst form and that lead to her inability to stand on feet on her own, she could not get up from the bed. Her control on urination was lost and there was incontinence. The continued use of pain killers and medicines did not give her any relief. The pain extended to the cervical spine also. MRI was done for Lumbo- Sacral Spine and Cervcial spine. There was disc dessication and osteophytes at L5 and S 1 and emerging nerve roots were compressed. And similar changes were seen at C 4 -5 and 6 and there was diffuse posterior and right foraminal protrusion of disc and caused compression of nerve roots.

It is fascinating and amazing that she got complete relief from the pain in less than 10 days and she does not require any medicine and she is doing all the house hold work without any problem. Her house is located on 3rd floor and there is no lift and she manages to climb nearly 70 steps of stairs many times a day without any problem.

This lady developed severe pain on defecation in April 2010 and MRI was done for LS Spine. Coccydynia was detected but the doctors found that she needed surgery for the neural canal. Any relief with such a persistent defect in the vertebral column is not possible. And she needed strong pain killers to get some temporary relief from symptoms. Previously, she was unable to sit, stand or walk even with the use of medicines. It is possible to get some relief after some weeks but relief within 2-3 days is not possible.
